Intense, decisive, original, determined. Umbria Rosso IGT is the youngest wine from Cantina Valdangius. Sangiovese and Merlot give the glass extraordinary purple hues accompanied by persistent and intense Its liveliness makes it suitable for simple, everyday tasting. It firmly expresses the strength of the Umbrian terroirs and the freshness of the Montefalco hills.

Grape variety: 80% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot

Cultivation: guyot

Altitude: 380 m a.s.l

Bottles produced: 2000

Harvest time: late September sangiovese, late August/early September merlot.

Winemaking: spontaneous and separate fermentation for the two types of grapes for about 20 to 30 days .

Aging: blending of the varieties, followed by aging for 3 months in steel and in the bottle rests for 2 months.

Serving temperature: 16°-18°

Tasting: Bright ruby red color. The nose releases aromas of red fruits, cherries and plums. The palate remains fresh, balanced and with delicate tannins.

Pairings: baked pastas and sopas, barbecued red meats, semi-mature cheeses.
